Recorded throughout the Baltimore troupe’s mammoth nine month tour across the US, Ballet Slippers celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Animal Collective’s inimitable breakout LP Merriweather Post Pavillion, this live LP features mind-altering renditions of fan favourites ‘My Girls’, ‘In The Flowers’ and ‘Daily Routine’ as well as older faves ‘Who Could Win A Rabbit’ and ‘Banshee Beat’ (not to mention a 20-minute riff on ‘Fireworks’), made epic after months of heady experimentation.
