Isle of Wight alt rocker firebrands Wet Leg return to Domino for their second LP entitled moisturizer. Expanding to a five-piece in the wake of endless touring after the group’s big break out, Wet Leg really stretches out here, writing songs to utilise the added musical heft without losing the spark that ignited their sudden rise. That said, it’s the finer details that really jump out on moisturizer, like the thin but warm synth lines buoying the vocal line on ‘mangetout’ or the bubbly chorused guitars on ‘pokemon’ that add a little punch to these reliably tactile rock and roll dramas.
