Alex Coulton’s crafted quite the habitat for himself within the less illuminated areas of house and techno. At times his work can be unforgiving but it is never boring. The Manchester-born producer has now contributed to the shelves of Tempa with this meditative double header bringing a new dimension to his output thus far. Recall is a minimal masterpiece with a sub-bass rattle built for unrelenting dance floors. Wiretap is just as intriguing, a techno single with the off-kilter malice of a grime instrumental. In just two tracks, Coulton has made himself an even more exciting talent.
